OPEN: From April 3 to October 24, 7 days a week including holidays

HOURS: April 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., May-September 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., October 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

(Station exterior is accessible 24-7, 365 for exploration and a local FM radio broadcast on 88.1)

This original Pony Express Station is located within a picturesque city park/arboretum that has been welcoming history enthusiasts from all around the world for more than 90 years.

Owned by the city of Gothenburg and managed by a local non-profit organization, it’s conveniently located just a couple of minutes off I-80. An estimated 40,000-50,000 people visit this historical building/museum each and every year.

The admission free museum housed inside is seasonally maned by a friendly, knowledgeable staff waiting to welcome you. The giftshop area within the museum is filled with unique, affordable gifts for guests of all ages.
